Aquinas High Online Academy (AOA) is a unique service offered to Aquinas High students to remediate a grade or take a course for advancement. AOA allows students to further their educational goals from anywhere through a completely online interface. Most Aquinas online courses are UC A-G approved. SUMMER 2024 ENROLLMENT
Please also note the following AOA policies and procedures (not all of the following policies may apply to non-Aquinas High students):
Aquinas High students may enroll in AOA to remediate grades (making up a “D” or “F” in credit courses) or to catch up in required coursework.
All courses start on Monday June 17th, 2024 and end July 12th, 2024 (for 1 semester courses) and August 9th, 2024 (for two semester courses)
Student MUST attend orientation prior to beginning their course.
The last day to register for a course is Thursday June 20th, 2024.
Extensions will not be permitted.
The last day to drop the course without any penalty is July 1st, 2024. A full refund is available (minus a $50 registration fee) up until that date. No refunds are available after July 1st, 2024 OR the course has been initiated.
Students who drop the course after July 1st will receive a "W" on their transcript.
Students who are not working consistently and need to be pulled from the course will receive a "WF" (impacting the GPA).
Please note that signing up for 1 semester only is not a complete year.
Students must work consistently and turn in assigments every week to gain credits in the class.
Parents will either be receiving regular communication and/or will have the ability to monitor their child’s progress.
Students are expected to communicate frequently with the course instructor. Communication is highly encouraged and is a must if working around vacations or other events that may interrupt pacing.
Students and parents understand that a D- must be achieved for the online course to be accepted and credited toward graduation
Aquinas High students seeking credit recovery through AOA must complete all online coursework.
Aquinas High students seeking advancement credit in any academic subject must get prior written permission from his/her counselor.
It is entirely the responsibility of the non-Aquinas student and/or the student’s parent(s) or guardian(s) to obtain school authorization from their home school for recognizing Aquinas High coursework for school graduation or records purposes or for recognizing such coursework for advanced credit. Aquinas High shall not be held responsible for failure to obtain such authorization.

Students should allow an ample amount of time for the completion of online courses and are encouraged to register and begin AOA coursework accordingly.
Students who are seeking NCAA approved online courses should talk to the school counselor for more details.
(Only for non-Aquinas students) Please allow 14 school days to process a transcript request. The processing fee for each transcript request is $25 which includes mailing. Additional fees apply for expedited processing.
Any act of cheating, plagiarizing, or any type of activity deemed to be unethical or against the student code of conduct will be disciplined according to Aquinas High School’s academic integrity policy.
